We all know how important it is to do monthly breast exams, but why do you need to do them? When you do a breast exam, you are thoroughly checking your breasts (through massage) for any abnormalities that could be cancer. In fact, this is one of the key ways breast cancer is diagnosed — with this type of self-diagnosis — and as many as a quarter of a million women every year will be diagnosed with breast cancer. As many as 14,000 of those women will die from it. If breast cancer is found in a very late stage, the prognosis is much less positive and treatment much more invasive and painful. By utilizing a monthly breast exam, you can find your breast cancer early enough that you can treat it quickly and easily, and even effect cure.

What about constriction and breast cancer though? Many women wear bras for most of the day, between six and 24 hours. Many women also wear bras that are too small, and these restrict the breast’s movement. Women’s breasts have some natural movement of their own when they move; this is a good thing because it allows the breast to release harmful toxins through the lymphatic system. By restricting the movement of the breast, women are unwittingly restricting the lymphatic system, too, which can lead to a buildup of toxins; over time, this can cause significant health problems.

When toxins build up too much, they can lead to cancer’s development. When women undertake monthly breast exams, they can find masses that could be cancer, get them diagnosed in time, and receive treatment. Even better, though, doing breast massage weekly is even more proactive, as opposed to a simple monthly breast exam.

With a weekly breast massage, toxins that would normally build up in tissue can be released, which may in turn reduce the incidence of masses that can come from those toxins and actually form cancer. Some have said that this reduces a woman’s chance of getting breast cancer by as much as 42%. That’s a big difference, and it can literally save a life to do a weekly breast massage. Best of all, it doesn’t take much time either. Too often, women skip their monthly breast exams because they don’t know how to do them, or they don’t think they’re important enough. Doing a weekly breast massage, though, can help reduce the risk of getting breast cancer. There are three steps to doing a proper breast exam.

First, get comfortable and remove any clothing from the breast area. Lie down, and use the middle and index finger to apply pressure to the breast, starting at the nipple area and working outward to the edge of the breast.”Walk” fingers around the breast, pressing gently, going in concentric circles from the nipple out, two or three times. Begin with gentle pressure and if you wish, slowly increase pressure as you go, massaging the breast so that toxins are released. Don’t do this to the point of discomfort, though.

A weekly breast massage allows toxins that would normally build up to be released, and this in turn may reduce the risk of cancer. In fact, some say that this can reduce your risk of breast cancer by as much as 42%. That’s a huge positive, and a weekly breast exam can literally save your life. It’s not very time-consuming, either. It’s very tempting for women to skip their monthly breast exams because they don’t how to do them, or they don’t think they’re important. With a weekly breast massage, though, you can reduce your risks of getting breast cancer, and you can find cancers early enough if you do have them. Take a look at the following three steps to doing a proper breast exam.

These steps should be done on both breasts, on a weekly basis. Doing this procedure at least once a week may help you find possible cancer occurrences early enough that you can get them treated and be cured.
